Here are the 10 Safest Cities in the Country

Safety and security should be top priorities when choosing a place to call home. After all, no one wants to move somewhere that isn’t safe. Fortunately, in today’s ever-connected world it’s all too easy to find crime stats and city information before you move. So where are the safest cities in America? WalletHub’s recent study has the answers. The personal finance website compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 41 key indicators of safety. According to the study, the “data set ranges from assaults per capita to unemployment rate to road quality.” While the study weighed actual crime incidents heavily (think: hate crimes, assaults and theft), it also considered other types of hazards, including car accidents and natural disaster risk – among others. Here are WalletHub’s 10 safest cities in the country, with additional crime stats from AreaVibes.
