According to WalletHub’s research, six of the top 10 safest U.S. states are located in New England, while the other four are located in the Midwest and Western regions. According to WalletHub, the 10 least safe states in America are Mississippi (#50), Louisiana (#49), Florida (#48), Arkansas (#47), Texas (#46), Oklahoma (#45), Missouri (#44), Alabama (#43), Georgia (#42) and South Carolina (#41).
