The Best Cities for Young Professionals

Are you a young professional? If so, I recommend moving to a city with ample job prospects, plenty of social opportunities and an abundance of networking events.

Fortunately, Forbes has done the research for you. The website recently released its annual list of America’s best cities for young professionals, with all of the factors listed above (and more) in mind. Using six different metrics to measure how well-suited a city is for young professionals, the website ranked the 100 largest metropolitan statistical areas in the United States. According to Forbes, the six metrics used were “salary, rent, employment prospects, networking opportunities and social outlook.” These metrics are described as “crucial” to recent graduates.

Below, we’ve included the major cities within these metropolitan areas that are most suited for young professionals. From hot job markets to affordable rent, there’s good reason to make one of these “young professional-friendly” places your new home.
